Executive Coaching with David Ward
Executive coaching is just not for executives, BUT every executive that is going to compete in the 21st century needs a coach in the same way top professional athletes need a coach.
We have all been there at one time or another. Whether we are a one man show running a small business or we are the CEO of a large and thriving enterprise – we get stuck and are not sure how to move forward in a way that assures us success in our undertakings. We are not saying that you need a coach for every decision you must make any more than a star quarterback needs his coach to call every play for him. The executive coach is the one in your game that helps you gain understanding of what is affecting your ability to achieve your greatest potential.
It’s that feeling of being stuck in a place or situation that is preventing success from overtaking us in our pursuit of achieving our goals, but not knowing how we got there or how to get out of it. Most everyone you will meet in your life has been there as well, that is, IF they will admit it. That is where executive coaching comes in. Executive coaching brings a fresh perspective, objective thought processes, and a new boldness to act what what needs to get done in order to turn things around in your life for the good. Along with this equation, executive coaching provides you with the insights and objective thinking that is needed to bring the positive results you want to see come to pass.

Unfortunately for many executives who don’t see the strategic advantage of having a coach, their alternatives in handling personal and/or business crisis can be limited to their own subjective viewpoints and the viewpoints of those who are trying to keep their jobs who work for them. This is NOT a place that any executive wants to be at – surrounded by those who are self-promoting and in a self-preservation mode that does not take to heart the best interests of the company.
The result of an executive who is reluctant to seek after the knowledge, understanding, and wisdom necessary to navigate out of crisis circumstances can leave a whole company – whether a company of one or one thousand – in the midst of a major crisis that could take years to recover from if not addressed correctly and with the sound wisdom that is most often found from an objective 3rd party to the crisis, i.e. a coach. The saddest part of this whole scenario is that most are just one or two small bits of knowledge or understanding away from being catapulted into success, and utilizing executive coaching can in most cases, radically change the outcome in their circumstances.
